Trying to identify the source of Grogu’s distress was difficult (though certainly easier for Luke than anyone not attuned to the Force). Even the most well-adjusted toddler had more temperamental and rapidly-changing emotions than the average adult, and, well – the wider galaxy had never been a kind place for Force-sensitives, especially not under the Empire. Grogu undoubtedly had traumas, and even with prior exposure to Jedi teachings, was likely not at a stage of development to effectively employ them on his own.
