Daily Writing Update: 12-22-18

Yes, I know, I missed a day. Decided last minute to drive home yesterday after work instead of today as I'd originally planned, so I didn't get any writing done. Didn't even take my laptop out until this morning, even. But I'm back on schedule today with an update:

Today I wrote: 618 words

I worked on: ML Rare Pair Month

Excerpt:

“Stop! Please! You’ve already told me too much. I told you, I can’t know who I am. It’s too dangerous.” She took a deep breath and released Alya as she stepped back. “I’m sorry. But as long as Papillon terrorizes this city, it’s not safe.”

“So what happens then?” Alya demanded. “When you beat him, for good, I mean. Will you remember everything? Or will the Miraculous disappear and ‘Ladybug’ dies while you go on, never knowing that part of your life?”

...okay so there's some sort of amnesia going on and neither Marinette nor Ladybug remember they're the same person? I'm confused.

That's exactly what's going on! I'm writing an AU fic where the heroes don't remember anything of their civilian lives (though intellectually they recognize they must have them) and their civilian selves don't remember being heroes (instead they have false memories of hiding from akumas, and the kwamis - more intangible in this AU - compel them to hide and transform when the need arises).
